| *Manufacturer |
Use the drop-down menu to select. If the manufacturer is not listed in the
menu, select “Other” and then enter the name in the box to the right
(Manufacturer Other).
|
| *Model |
Enter the name - For example: Maxtrac, TK-380, PCS or MTX. |
| Model/Part # |
Enter the specific model or part # of the equipment. This is very helpful
for buyers to confirm their choice. Plus, your item will show up when a
buyer knows the Model/Part# and uses the Advanced Search feature.
|
| *Radio Type |
Select “Conventional”, “Trunked” or “Both” from the drop-down menu. “Both”
means that a trunking radio will also operate in conventional mode and lists
the item in both categories.
|
| *Frequency |
Select Frequency band from the drop-down menu. Select “Other” for bands that
aren’t listed and enter the frequency in the box to the right (Frequency Other).
|
| Frequency Range |
Enter the specific split within the band. For example, if you selected UHF above,
you would enter “450-470” or “470-512” here.
|
| Type/Signaling |
If this is a trunking radio, you have the opportunity to enter the signaling format
here (EDACS, LTR, Smartnet, etc). Then your equipment will be displayed to all buyers
looking for specific system compatibility.
|
| *Channels/Groups |
Enter the number of channels for conventional radios, or Systems/Groups for trunking radios.
|
| *Charger Type |
Select from the drop-down list and it will be displayed in the item detail when a buyer
clicks on your item.
|
| *Condition |
There are six choices in the drop-down menu for you to select from. Please refer to the
Condition Rating System for a complete explanation of each category. You can add more
information in the description field.
|
| *Description |
This free-from text field provides space for you to tell buyers more about your equipment.
Describe special items in detail here.
|
| *Accessories |
List included accessories like batteries, microphones, cases, control heads, and power cables here.
Items will display in as a bulleted list if you use the “Enter” key after each accessory.
For example: Battery<Enter> Case<Enter> Speaker mic<Enter>
|
| *Quantity |
Enter the total quantity available here. The system automatically removes an item, or reduces the
quantity available when you make a sale - you don’t have to go back in and remove your listing
(single item) or reduce the quantity available (multiple quantities).
|
| *Price |
Enter the price per item here. This field is for numbers only, do not include the dollar sign or
any other values here.
|
| Will Consider Best Offer |
Check this box if you are willing to consider offers for less than the stated price. You still
must enter a price above to use this feature. This will be noted in your item detail and buyers
can make an offer. This is helpful when you are not sure what the fair market price should be
for your equipment.
|
*Programming &
Shipping Info
|
Programming: Tell buyers whether or not you will program the radio and if there is an extra
charge for that service.
Shipping: Tell buyers how quickly you can ship this item and if the shipping costs are included
in the price. Many buyers will choose one item over another if they can get same day shipping.
|
| Add Item |
Once the form is complete, click “Add Item”. This will instantly load your equipment to the
catalog and it will show “Successfully Added Item”. You can view it in the catalog by using
the top menu: Mouse over BUY and click on the category (Mobile, Portable, Base/Repeater, etc).
The most recent listings are at the top of the list. Then click on the item to see the Item Detail.
|
| Edit Item |
To edit an item now or at any time, go to My Account and log in. On the left hand menu, select
“View Postings” from the left menu and click “Edit” next to the item you want to edit. A pop-up
window will warn you if you are editing an item that is currently in a buyer shopping cart.
|
| Adding Photos |
Sellers may enhance their listings with pictures. While posting an item for sale, go to the
bottom of the form and follow the instructions. Buyers like to see what they are buying so use
photo’s that help differentiate your items from others. Many buyers like to see a small
photo of the Model and Serial number tags that are on most radios. There is no charge for
adding photos to your listings. If you already have items listed and want to add photos,
merely log into “My Account”, go to “View Postings” and select “edit”.
